About Midwest Martial Arts

Midwest Martial Arts Academy Inc. was started in March 1989 by Tony and Sandy Dewitt. Their first school started and remains in Fairborn, Ohio. They have been serving the Dayton, Ohio area for the past 21 years.

The Dewitts started Midwest Martial Arts to give back to their communities. They believe in values like honor, integrity, perseverance, indomitable spirit, respect. At Midwest Martial Arts students are taught discipline and respect for their fellow man. They are given goal setting skills to help them achieve throughout their lives. All the while learning the area's top mixed martial arts.

Students at Midwest Martial Arts are taught to become leaders in school and in their community. Their grades are checked on a regular basis. We want our students to be black belts in the class room as well as in the martial arts school. Let's face it with the new craze of cage fighting the wrong message is being sent to our youth. They want to use their fist to solve life's problems. This mentality is going to end them up in prison or dead.

We at Midwest Martial Arts believe by developing the martial arts skills to the highest level possible and teaching them to use that discipline to avoid confrontation and reach their goals. We want each student to be achievers not trouble makers. This is why our school uses martial arts for self protection only.
